  1. man loved those turtles movies as a kid. I haven’t seen the 3rd one since, but i honestly remember watching it over and over and over again, just like the first 2. The first one does still hold up and is a pretty awesome movie even to this day. I love Shredder’s entrance in the movie and the epic scary music playing along it. This movie did a great job of making Shredder look undefeatable and just so OP.

Gerald’s Game sounds kind of neat, i may just check it out

  2. TMNT was the first movie I ever saw at the cinema. Believe it or not for much of my youth Gibraltar didn’t have a cinema. Basing the movie on the darker comics was probably a good idea. The sillier sequels weren’t my cup of tea.

Chained to a bed for an entire movie sounds dull. Then again, I though the Misery novel was captivating stuff.

  3. We just rewatched the Turtles movies because my husband knows all the lines in both. You weren’t a fan of the cartoon?? Maybe it’s my nostalgia filter activating lol. I bet if I went back and watched them again it would be as bad as the Super Mario Super Show *sobs*

    • Funny. My wife was repeating half the lines too. Oh no I was HUGE into the cartoon at the time. Probably had more turtle toys than I ever did of any other kind. It’s really, really bad looking back at it now though. I mean, I like going back and watching that kind of Super Show awfulness though. It’s hilarious.

      • Omg it was SO bad. We tried watching the Mario Bros, and Legend of Zelda, and the latter was GOD AWFUL. If you want a good laugh, rewatch He-Man. That shit is so bad it’s almost absurd. You know what oddly holds up though? Old school Transformers. We watched a bit of that, and while it has its problems, it’s doable. Doesn’t hold candle to Transformers Prime, which is one of the best cartoons I’ve seen. That makes me sad that Turtles doesn’t hold up. I think I’ll let it remain in my memories then.

      • Haven’t gotten around to watching Transformers Prime yet. Kind of stopped trying after the first 5 disappointing Transformers reboots (Beast Wars was pretty cool though), but I’ll check it out.

You guys ever see ExoSquad? That was amazingly good for an American 90s cartoon. It was almost like an anime.

      • Prime is freaking fantastic. The original voice of Optimus Prime reprises his role. Ernie Hudson (played Winston in the original Ghostbusters) does a voice, and it’s just a stellar cast. Some people found the teen characters annoying so your mileage may vary with that. I didn’t personally, but it didn’t seem to take away from their enjoyment either way. It’s definitely more mature not in terms of rating or language, but in how situations are handled. I haven’t seen Beast Wars, but I’ve heard from people who have that this is better AND the third and final season ties into it!

It sounds familiar, but I can’t recall it! I could probably find it on KissCartoon or something like that though 🙂
